Favorite Authors

I love to read. As previously stated, I enjoy the escape and the places a good book can take you. There are several authors I go back to. In high school I loved Stephen King novels. I think my favorite was "The Stand". Yep, I read that giant book in high school. Even got a few of my friends to read it and we discussed it over bad cafeteria food. Read a few John Grisham novels as well as Joseph Wambaugh.

After I discovered romance novels, I came to have favorite authors in the romance genre as well. No one writes an epic historical romance quite like Roseanne Bittner. I've read and re-read several of her novels over the years. Catherine Anderson, Constance Bennett and Ellen O'Connell are also favorites.

But, my absolute novel is "Fire and Rain" by Kathleen Eagle. It's two love stories in one book, each taking place about 100 years apart, but both are connected. It's simply beautiful, and I'll confess it was probably the first time a book made me cry. Just incredibly powerful.
